Looking forward to exploring the additional resources.
Just finished your Bibliotherapy, Literature and Mental Health course. I really enjoyed it and will use it to inform my writing-for-wellbeing workshops. I’m looking forward to exploring some of the additional resources.

The course provided a fantastic mix of theory and practical advice and recommendations.
I would thoroughly recommend this course to Librarians and Teachers who deliver programmes in the UK for reading for wellbeing for both adults and children. The course provided a fantastic mix of theory and practical advice and recommendations. I think that the recommended reading lists are well-researched and will be invaluable to me in applying what I have learned on the course in my workplace setting. Bijal presents the course in a friendly and approachable way and has been fantastic in replying swiftly to any emails I have sent to her. Therefore I can highly rate the excellent level of customer service I have received. I would be very interested to hear of any more advanced courses being developed by Bijal and can't wait to listen to the podcast.

Just the help I needed
The course is beautifully put together in manageable units. The resource lists are comprehensive and extremely generous. For such a short course, the scope is impressive. Doing this course enhanced my own reading experience, helped me to see new possibilities for helping others and also got me through a really tough life. Thank you, Bijal. Looking forward to your next work.

Exactly what I was looking for
Working alongside my clients, this year, I consciously worked on a number of areas in my own life (related to mental health) such as self-care, parental guilt, tolerance, and healthy boundaries and books helped me sail through this journey quite well. This made me curious about this field of therapy, so I searched for reliable and informative courses on Bibliotherapy which I can use for my students and clients, and I found exactly what I was looking for.
Bijal's Bibliotherapy course is a much-recommended course for those who intuitively know the power of literature (fiction/non-fiction) and want to understand this field in depth, employing this modality to help people in distress.
The resources list not only provides a long list of book recommendations but also hand-holds the participants to discuss and work through the intervention journey with a client.

Not as serious as hoped, but still interesting.
I just finished this course, and haven't practiced it yet, so details may change, and it might be a decent compliment in some therapies, but as I work in therapy already, and love books, I was hoping for something more... therapeutic.
I feel like bibliotherapy is more of a niche way of understanding your feelings trying to oversell its value, epecially with the seriousness of contracts and such.
The course would, on the other hand, feel more serious if some of the "select all that apply" questions weren't just all correct. Making people think a little bit may improve learning!
Despite that, I found the course in itself to be interesting, although I mostly did it without sound. It might be that I'm not a native English speaker, but the intonations felt so off, like someone reading notes they haven't read before.
Notes on how books and other narratives can affect us is interesting, and a great resource to use when possible.
Valérie H.
I've just completed the course, it really meets my expectations !
Thanks a lot as well for all the very interesting resources !

Insightful course.
I have always been curious to learn about Bibliotherapy, an unexplored area. I took this fun and insightful course.
Carlos R
Given me more depth, thank you very much.
I have just finished the bibliotherapy course and I liked it very much. It has been a very interesting complement to put in order the resources I was using such as books, literature or expressive writing. It has given me more depth and I liked it. Thank you very much

Easy-to-follow and deeply informative course.
I've been wanting to take this Book Therapy course for months now, and I'm so glad I finally did it! Bijal has created an easy-to-follow and deeply informative course about this sometimes mysterious field of Book Therapy. I finished the course with a clear understanding of not only what it is, but also the different approaches one can take towards Book Therapy and the benefits of it. I'm so excited to start applying the principles of Book Therapy to my own life. If you're on the fence about purchasing, I'd highly recommend it!

Really enjoyed the content.
I have recently completed your online bibliotherapy course and really enjoyed the content.

A Wonderful Course.
This is a wonderful course, like a great book. Certainly, I learned what bibliotherapy is and what I need from now on. Mental health is one of the most serious problems in the world, especially Japan. I’ll say “You can stay here. You have a choice to stay here.” by bibliotherapy.
Ryan G
Highly recommended.
I approached the course knowing very little about bibliotherapy but after completing the course I felt like I was well on my way to my goal of becoming a practising bibliotherapist and taking what I had learned into my current role as vice-principal and teenage counsellor.
One of the things I enjoyed most about the course was the references to external sources which have allowed me to build on what I got from the course through my own independent follow-up.
Highly recommended.

So glad I took this course!
I really enjoyed this course from start to finish! It was insightful and has made me want to delve into creative writing as a tool for therapeutic use. Thanks Bijal for taking the time to provide us with this course!
Elena
Well done!
I am happy about the course I have just finished. It is very clear and it is also a good overview about book therapy.
What about a second level course including practice?
Thank you so much.

Extremely useful and detailed.
I have just completed the course in Bibliotherapy, Literature and Mental Health and have also started digging into the Recommendations list which is extremely useful and detailed.
I wanted to first thank you for creating this course because it has been my dream for a couple of years now and you are the first to offer any such thing online. I am glad to have attended the course.

Thank you Bijal for a really great course.
I've now been exploring your website in more detail, reading some of your blogs and I also hope to move on to some podcasts too. It's a great wealth of interesting and informative resources. Thank you so much.

A Gem.
I wondered and wondered about doing this course, then plunged in this year and couldn't stop! A rich treasure trove of inspiration and insights. Reluctantly nearly finished it...yet it feels like the beginning of something expansive?? A gem.

A Great Little Course!
This is a concise and helpful little introductory course for laypeople. On finishing the short sessions I came away wanting to explore its value much further and more extensively. In all, a great little course - despite its perhaps overly comprehensive content.
Gianluca B
I did it!
Very interesting introduction to this discipline, useful PDF material also. There is an advanced module, maybe with a certification? Compliments and thank you.

I loved it!
I loved it when I did it first time and looking forward to doing the course again and refreshing my memory since I have lifetime access.

Thank you for creating an entirely non-intrusive, subtle yet powerful way of therapy.
Just wanted to thank you. Your course resonated and gave definite form to what I was doing as a form of self-therapy, without actually even realising that. Certain books have resonated and given me quiet, non-judgmental support through crisis and it was great to see how you'd put that to such a clear structure. So many books have made me feel understood, connected and validated deeper emotions, and it was wonderful to realise, via your course, that this is a definite and powerful support medium. As a librarian with teenagers, I am hoping to be able to use this tool to, hopefully, provide a little extra mental support for the children. Thank you for creating an entirely non-intrusive, subtle yet powerful way of therapy.
Margarita Dominguez
I feel like the universe has led me to stumble upon this course.
The course gave me good ideas on how to bring about my own therapy (while supplementing my sessions with my therapist). Due in part to your personalised prescription, I have now started book journaling. Coming from that, I was inspired to join a creative non-writing course so I could also write about the books that I read, and give me a platform should I decide to share my thoughts with others.
During the course, a lot of poetry resonated with me. I was pleasantly surprised to see my favourite poem by Robert Frost (The Road Not Taken), and I resonated with John O'Donohue's On The Death of The Beloved.
I am about to start post-graduate studies in Psychology and Counselling and I feel like the universe has led me to stumble upon this course. I now have an idea on how to merge my passion for reading into my eventual path into Counselling and psychotherapy. I am glad to have met you and am looking forward to get in touch in the future for any supervision requests and the like :-)
Thank you for doing what you do. Much gratitude to you and I am looking forward to interact with you again in the future!

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!
Bijal Bibliotherapy training is really good! Simple yet exhaustive in all its aspects.
I am an italian teacher and counsellor and unfortunately in Italy bibliotherapy is not yet well developed as healing practice. The course was very inspiring to me (even though English is not my first language and I don't not know many of the proposed books) but the principles of it spoke to me very well and I am sure it will be very useful to help me implement bibliotherapy with my clients and students.
Highly recommended!

Connects So Many Dots
As someone who is really interested in books and mental health, this course was a no-brainer for me. Not only did I learn so many new things, but I also built a better understanding of things I was already doing and things I was already drawn to. So much of this really spoke to me and my professional aspirations and I'm really glad this provided me with a stepping stone into the world of bibliotherapy. Highly recommend!

Bibliotherapy Training
Bijal’s Bibliotherapy training course is a very detailed, concise introduction to the therapeutic and personal benefits of this wonderful aid to mental health.
As a librarian, I thoroughly enjoyed the course, and felt that Bijal’s use of literature was very effective in demonstrating the ways in which literature and reading can be used to help people cope with the stresses of daily life.
Bibliotherapy is frequently used by medical and mental health professionals as part of Art Therapy approaches to counselling, and I really applaud Bijal for bringing greater awareness of this wonderful healing tool.
I highly recommend the course to mental health professionals, educators and anyone who is seeking a therapeutic tool for self-development and happiness.

Simple and thorough
This by far was the most informative yet concise online course that I've experienced. The ease of use and the amount of information kept me engaged, motivated to continue and eager to sign up for more!
Harold Curtis
Once again thank you for such a wonderful course.
It was a breath of fresh air to see this field of Mental Health alive and well. I've had this tool present for a long time but not used it enough. This innovative course deepened my clinical skills and resources as well as fanned the flames of my already present love of reading/books and just how powerful they can be. Can't wait to see more on this!

An Inspiring Course
An inspiring course, in-depth yet easy to follow, step by step, organized. Well written and captivating course.
Teaching what is Bibliotherapy, how to integrate Bibliotherapy.
How Bibliotherapy works, how it benefits people with mental health and the other exercises used.
Being introduced to another creative arts therapy has been substantial to me and I'm sure beneficial to others.
I unquestionably suggest taking this course or reading one of the prescription books on the Book Therapy website.
Michele Missio
I did your bibliotherapy course and really loved it.
While doing it I read all your references, authors, biographies, books, poems, checked out the lists, and even wrote two poems! They came out really easily and I was very impressed.

Truly Refreshing
I had the pleasure of taking Bijal’s Bibliotherapy, Literature and Mental Health course in the middle of an extended COVID lockdown and found it truly refreshing. It was neatly structured and well researched, yet simple enough to enjoy and inspire self-reflection. Most important, you genuinely come away with a new appreciation for the ways reading, literature and the written word can help us make sense of the world and the way we interact with it. Thanks Bijal!

insightful journey
An insightful journey with an online workshop on Booktherapy / Bibliotherapy. What I like about this workshop it gave history on Booktherapy and methodology of #Bibliotherapy in simple easy way to follow as well great resources to enable those who would like to discover Booktherapy / Bibliotherapy can supporting tools for self development or tools to enhance mental wellbeing. The workshop are great resource for those in counselling field , therapist etc, for me as Im pursuing #PeotryTherapy it was a great tool to reflect on #Bibliotherapy not as separate model but an essential part of poetry therapy that cannot be discarded. Meaning if you are in line of poetry therapy , you can be alienated from #Bibliotherapy . Huge thank you to Bijal Shah on this workshop, as I highly recommend it to others who are trying to explore tools of understanding emotions .
The workshop for sure is not one time stop its a resource that you need to have or get back to you for resources in the field.

Gave me a lot to think about in terms of how to incorporate bibliotherapy into the community work we do.
I enjoyed it greatly and it gave me a lot to think about in terms of how to incorporate bibliotherapy into the community work we do down here in Houston. The pacing was great, and the sections were small and digestable enough where I didn't feel like I was spending too much time in one place.
David Smith
A fascinating insight into the subject.
I have now finished working through the content of your bibliotherapy course, which I found a fascinating insight into the subject. However, when I say ‘I have now finished working through the content’, I don’t mean I have now mastered it! The extensive bibliography and resource section, within which concluded, would alone put paid to any conceit in that direction!
I will take some time to reflect on the subject, and will appeal to you for further guidance as and when appropriate.
So, thank you for all of that.
Sharilyn Walter
Thank you this is a phenomenal course!
I loved everything about it and the absolute wealth of information and resources you have provided. I am a Registered Social Worker by profession and a Life Skills Coach Facilitator by training and have always loved reading and informally used it in my work. This course is wonderful and I have learned so much.
Eylem Ozkaramanli
This course spoke to my heart!
It was fun, full of interesting knowledge and easy to follow. Bijal's voice is so calm and inviting, it makes the whole learning journey an amazing experience. I was able to take notes and follow the sections at ease, and it was also very handy to have the important sections accessible in a PDF. I strongly recommend this to everyone who loves to read to experience the healing power of the literature. I cannot wait to dive into her resources now and start my own journey with bibliotherapy.
Helena Gregório
I enjoyed it so much.
It was very interesting and helpful.
Katarina Spaic
This course covers all of the basics on bibliotherapy and more.
I loved that it goes through the history of the therapy and how it was used in the past, as well as how it is used now. It has a perfect mix of recorded lectures and concise graphics that sum up the content of each subject. In this way, it was very easy to follow along and got right to the point of each topic. I also love that there are examples of real stories highlighting how bibliotherapy has worked for other people. It’s very empowering and motivating to hear these stories! Bijal also includes a list of reading recommendations and resources at the end of the course which is invaluable. I would definitely recommend this course to anybody interested in this topic, whether you already know a bit about bibliotherapy or are a complete beginner like I was! It brought me up to speed very quickly with the gist of the therapy and I feel much more confident now going forward.

What a wonderful course!
You laid out the materials in an easy to use way! They are also very beautiful to look at! Love the simple logo! The poems you chose for us to practice with were lovely. A wonderful, clear and concise introduction to bibliotherapy! I really would like to develop my skills in this area further. I think I would need to do some psychology courses although I wonder if the ones I am doing for my Masters would suffice? The resources are great! I am still working my way through the lists .... pure joy! You convey calm, trust and empathy in your delivery, materials and quality of your product! Inspired and impressed! The cost works too. Thank you!

I’ve always gravitated towards books when feeling low.
I took the a bibliotherapy course with @booktherapy_by_bijal and I learned a thing or to about how books have been used and can be used as a form of therapy. I’ve always believed that reading books and admiring books is therapeutic as I’ve always gravitated towards books when feeling low. Not only does reading cheer me up it also forces me to contemplate and reflect on things, such as life.

I would recommend doing this course to anyone who wants to add knowledge acumen to their skill set of couseling, its a great wealth of useful information presented, with outstanding quality, there was so much thought that went into this course, there are multiple choice questions to self tests your knowledge obtained, which are short and light. I was really impressed You would be too for professional and personal development, you would benefit from doing this, course, what is even surprising is that Ms.Bijal sends you more resources. Thanks for your commitment to excellence, and generosity with the information and knowledge, that you provided.

Michelle Foulia
I really enjoyed the course.
I would definitely love to do more with bibliotherapy. I hadn’t realised it but I have already been using this as a parent and friend, buying and discussing books for people to help with particular issues and the same for my kids. Books were the single most important key in my survival through the death of my parents, grandparents, childhood abuse, neglect and much adversity. They were constant therapy and a way for me to understand the world around me. They also provided a means for me to escape through my imagination even though my body was trapped in my circumstances. Perhaps it was natural then that I gift books more than any other item and that I was led to take this course so I can help others.
Simonetta F.
Useful and informative, with an extensive final bibliography!

This course is ideal for a complete beginner ....or if you have an art therapy qualification it would be ideal to use this course content too .... Or if you are a teacher, doctor, mental health professional, librarian or just love books (as I do) and want this for your own personal development... then go for it. Very nicely laid out course with a mixture of reading, listening, slides and quizzes. I am going to look at the book journaling course now too. It is wonderful that this course has been implemented and it fully explains why reading is one of the best therapies we have available to us. Thank you !!! Off to use some of the tools now

Worth the money!
I recently completed the online Bibliotherapy course via Book Therapy and found it worth the money. It is a good introduction into what bibliotherapy is and how to integrate it into your own life or into sessions with your clients. It provides you with some work-sheets and a 200+ list of text recommendations covering a number of topics. You can finish it in one sitting or space it out as you please. Definitely worth doing as in introductory into this therapy approach if you know little about it.
Paul L

Enjoyable and Helpful
I'm enjoying the course and also finding it helpful.
I'm planning to do it in two passes. In the first pass, I'll listen to all the lectures once. In the second pass, I'll make notes and explore how I can work with my own issues.
